Kehlsteinhaus Berchtesgaden in the surroundings of Munich.

Day tour for groups: Obersalzberg and Berchtesgadener Land

Between Alpine panorama and contemporary history

Experience the Berchtesgadener Land, one of the most beautiful regions in south-eastern Upper Bavaria, on this day trip. Immerse yourself in the lifestyle and history of this region on a relaxing boat trip on Lake Königssee or a historical guided tour of the Kehlsteinhaus.

On the approximately 9 to 11 hour tour to the Berchtesgadener Land in our own bus, our certified guide will provide you with interesting information about Bavaria, regional history, traditions and well-known places such as Lake Chiemsee and Bad Reichenhall.

You can choose between two attractive programmes for the day trip:

1. Boat trip on Lake Königssee to St. Bartholomä
After spending some time in the historic centre of Berchtesgaden, you will continue on to Lake Königssee. There you will take a boat trip to the baroque pilgrimage chapel of St. Bartholomä, which lies amidst the mountains at the foot of the Watzmann. The trip on the electric boat offers a peaceful way to enjoy the clear mountain landscape and the special atmosphere of the lake.

2. Visit to Obersalzberg and Kehlsteinhaus
A special bus will take you along Kehlsteinstraße to the Kehlsteinhaus (Eagle's Nest), a historic building from the Nazi era, now a mountain inn with panoramic views. The ascent is made by historic lift. You can also visit the Obersalzberg Documentation Centre, which provides information about the history of the site. If the Kehlsteinhaus is closed due to weather conditions, a visit to the Berchtesgaden Salt Mine is possible.

After an eventful day, the bus will take you back to Munich safely in the afternoon. The day trip offers a balanced combination of nature, culture and history – ideal for anyone who wants to get to know the Berchtesgadener Land region.
